This just happened…
This is an actual email Deb sent out to our Director of HR. We get a $150 health benefit each year. Some people definitely do not use their allowance, so we came up with a way to get their money. A tad devious or a tad genius.

Russ, we have a great idea to raise company spirit…
We should put the money left over from people who don’t claim there $150 wellness benefits into a collection for prize money. Then, we have anyone who has already used their check and wants more (say to go to a trainer or something) can enter into the first annual ASPS Talent Show! The money will be divided up between first, second, and third place, and maybe and honorable mention.
I for one would do a rap show and Sam would do the splits while attempting to play the violin. And, I would bet that Tim Palac would do a stand-up comedy routine.
This idea is golden… think about it!

OK, first, I’d really like to see Deb’s rap show and Sam doing the splits while playing the violin. However, Sam, no “attempt” – I’d expect it.
Now, in terms of the wellness account – mmm, we’ve been asked to watch spending, so I’d say let’s pass on this.
But… let me speak to Rose about this, because I think you’re on to something.
